We all know the importance of good dental health and having teeth and a clean mouth is not just a matter of aesthetics, but it is of health. In addition, white teeth and fresh breath make you laugh with confidence and speak without fear to expel an unpleasant smell from your mouth and future dental problems can be prevented by proper oral hygiene. For that you must follow some basic tips mentioned below;

1 – Brush Your Teeth Daily

You have probably heard many times the phrase ‘Brush your teeth three times a day’. Since we are small, we are taught that we should brush after breakfast, lunch and dinner. Brushing teeth is a habit you should adopt for life if your intention is to have dazzling teeth because it will prevent the formation of tartar and cavities. It is best done after finishing your food, because in this way you will avoid bad breath too.

2 – Floss Your Teeth

Oral hygiene and dental health are not complete with simple brushed teeth, here flossing is also indispensable. Many times there are remains of food between your teeth and especially among your teeth that are impossible to remove with the brush bristles. Flossing fits perfectly between them and help you get the rest that you often cannot see.

You need correct flossing, gently following the curves of your teeth and avoiding sudden movements that can hurt your gums. Flossing can prevent plaque buildup and creating cavities.

3 – Watch Your Diet

To maintain a healthy diet not only is visible in your digestion but also in your dental hygiene. Fruits and vegetables are foods with a high content of vitamins and nutrients that help keep your teeth healthy and strong.

But just as there are foods good for your dental health, there are some that are not recommended in large quantities. Coffee, tea (especially black), wine (red and white) and soft drinks are beverages that can stain your teeth. Moreover, sugar and sweets are the main generators of caries. It is important to avoid excessive consumption of these foods and if you consume any of them, wash your teeth immediately after.

4 – Use Mouthwash with Fluoride

If your dentist suggests the use of mouthwash with fluoride, it can be beneficial to your dental health. When you finish eating and do not feel confident to speak for the fear that people will go away due to your bad breath, you can stop this problem by using mouthwash with fluoride as it prevents cavities and strengthens the enamel of your teeth.

5 – Visit Dentist Regularly

Visiting the dentist is a good way to maintain good oral health and aesthetics. At least once a year visit is necessary so that a specialist can check that everything is in order with your teeth, gums and mouth in general.
