But in the end, all the materials are considered plastic and the process is almost always the same, since the plastic kayak is built with a few kilos of granulated polyethylene and a little coloring.
The polyethylene kayak gets its stiffness composite curves. Some models, for example, sit-on-top kayaks are still stiffer than the others for the reason that they are made in one-piece. In other words, the bottom and top part of the kayak is not built first and the two parts are glued together, but it is built all in one part.

Disadvantages of a Plastic Kayak
It is slower for the reason that it does not slide.
They are difficult to repair as compared with the other materials.
This material weighs much more than fiber. The kayak almost never weighs below 20 kg.
