Fresh52 Farmer’s Market – 1 Year Anniversary

A year ago one of the several farmer’s markets in the Vegas area opened up to the public to offer fresh produce along with a variety of other vendors selling their goods or offering a tasty snack to hungry patrons. The hubs and I discovered this market some time in the summer and have enjoyed it ever since.

Getting decent fruits and vegetables that are not only healthy but delicious (seriously, you can’t get produce this good at the grocery stores) is a treat for us and we’re giving back to the community by supporting local vendors and California farmers. Yea, that’s our environmentally friendly, community loving side.

Today’s event marked the one year anniversary of its opening and we decided to take a jaunt out to the market to pick up much needed produce (and the irresistable bread hubby loves so much) and capture a few images from the brief amount of time spent there.

It was windy as all heck and today happened to be one of the few times yours truly literally left her hair down. Add in allergies and it doesn’t make for much fun but stopping by and seeing familiar faces plus a small cup of the oh so delicious root beer milk and a quick Tacizza from our good friend John.

So without further blabbering from me, enjoy some of today’s pictures.

And there you have it! Until next time my friends!

Thanks, Alexis! I’m not a fan of asparagus personally but hey, when you see an unusual color you just can’t resist a quick snap. :)

Since I have gotten more into farmer’s markets I cannot understand how I managed to miss them all this time. Sooo much fun for community, good produce, and good photo ops.

I love farmer’s markets. I haven’t seen any open ones around here yet. I hope they start up soon!

Hi Shelley!

Crossing my fingers your markets open up soon! They’re such a treat to go to aren’t they? I love the colors, the displays, the people, and the vendors. People are often more friendly and willing to talk than the people who just shuffle right on through at the supermarket. At least that’s been my experiences out here, don’t know about you.

I love your gorgeous photos.

Our Farmer’s market will be opening for the season this weekend and I can’t wait. I love Saturday mornings at the farmer’s market.

Thanks, Bibi!

If there’s one thing I can say is truly relaxing it’s getting up and heading to the market after a cup of coffee…or in our case, a pot of coffee. Haha. I just wish my husband’s schedule made it a bit easier for us to go on a regular basis.

Have fun at the market this coming weekend! I’d love it if you left a comment and told me all about it.
